Every era has its heroes. And one of the managers of the moment is undoubtedly Robert Naylor, head of University College London Hospitals trust. Mr Naylor, you recall, is the man who recently offered to wipe out the national waiting list for heart ops, using the shiny Heart Hospital that he bought back in 2001, and which is expensive to keep.
Unfortunate, then, that Ken Radley, 71, was in the news last week because his heart op had been cancelled by the trust - so it could hold an audit. Oops.
