Over the summer the PCT, in partnership with Havant borough council, East Hampshire district council and Portsmouth Hospitals trust, has offered free skin checks, information and advice on sun safety and molechecking at open-air events around the region.
The events aimed to contribute to the prevention of cancer, as part of the NHS cancer plan.
Skin cancer is the most common cancer, with around 6,000 cases of malignant melanoma and more than 40,000 non-melanomas diagnosed in the UK each year.
