I was amused to read Bob Sang's article 'The customer is sometimes right' (pages 22-23, 19 August).
On the whole, I concur with his observations. NHS advisers often come to the same conclusion as us (usually in a burst of newspaper headlines); the only difference is they make their observations in hindsight, when it is too late. Ours are made in foresight as warnings.
Considering the chaos and crisis that frequently occur in today's NHS, we wonder if these advisers are really up to the job. I think campaigners and journalists could do better. I am fed up with getting the same old rhetoric from civil servants, designed to baffle lay people with science and statistics, and I am afraid it also baffles MPs and others who are supposed to be looking after our rights.
