The Information Centre for health and social care has welcomed the publication of the fifth Myocardial Infarction National Audit Project.

The report shows that 64 per cent of patients inEnglandand 41 per cent inWaleswere given 'clot-busting' drugs within an hour.

The report was completed in close collaboration with the central cardiac audit database, part of the Information Centre's national clinical audit support programme.
