Western General Hospitals trust, Edinburgh, has announced that contracts have been signed with Miller Construction for a £40m building programme at Western General Hospital. The scheme, which includes new wards and theatres, is the largest exchequer-funded NHS building project in Scotland at the moment, and forms part of a wider programme of improvements to Edinburgh's acute services. Work will start in August and take three years.
