Prem Singh has been appointed joint chief executive of Central Derby and Greater Derby primary care trusts.
He was previously chief executive of Chesterfield PCT.
Paediatrician Dr Elizabeth Green has taken up post as medical director at South Downs Health trust.Dr Green replaces Dr Michael Rosenberg, who became the trust's chief executive last year.Dr Green has been with the trust since its foundation in 1992.
Ron Cullen has been named head of the Modernisation Agency's clinical governance support team.Mr Cullen was previously acting director of the team and before that deputy director.
The Commission for Social Care Inspection has appointed six business directors.These are Judith Thomas, currently public services communications director at Number 10; Jonathan Philips, Social Social Services Inspectorate regional director for Yorkshire and the Humber; Geraldine Macdonald, professor of social work at Bristol University; Department of Health transition director David Walden, responsible for establishing the office of the independent regulator of NHS foundation trusts, who will become CSCI's strategy director; Hazel Parker-Brown, head of the Department of Transport corporate services function; and Paul Snell, Nottingham city council director of social services.
The National Patient Safety Agency has strengthened its team of clinical specialty advisors by announcing the appointment of Terry Butler to advise the agency on social care.Mr Butler joins from Hampshire county council, where he is director of social services.
