Tracey Nutter is to be the new director of nursing for Salisbury Health Care trust.Ms Nutter trained in London and returned there in 1993 from Newcastle, introducing innovative improvements in cancer care at Barts and the London trust. She joined Southampton University Hospitals trust in 2001 as associate nurse director.
Andrew Panniker has been appointed director of estates and facilities at Homerton University Hospital in east London. Previously he was a director of a private property consultancy practice, working on a number of health and inner city regeneration projects.Mr Panniker began his career in the NHS.He left to broaden his construction experience.
Former director of finance at North Staffordshire Hospital trust Dave Crowley has been made chief executive of the trust.He joined the trust in 1998 and became acting chief executive last year.
Several senior appointments have been made at Hammersmith Hospitals trust: Dr David Foster has been appointed director of nursing after joining the trust four years ago as deputy nurse director; Anne Eden, a health service manager for over 20 years, will be filling the new role of director of clinical services; the current head of patient information at King's College Hospital trust, Leigh Howard, is to join the trust as programme director of change for patients; and David Thomas will be director of strategic development.
Ann Marr has joined St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals trust as chief executive.She was previously chief executive of Liverpool Women's Hospital trust.
Sara Jones is the new director of NHS Direct Wales.She became a member of the project team in 1999 as director of nursing.
Dr Tricia Cresswell is to be director of public health for Durham and Chester-le-Street primary care trust.Dr Cresswell has worked in public health management since 1993.Her most recent appointment was as associate director for the Northern Yorkshire public health observatory; before that Dr Cresswell was director of public health for the former Newcastle and North Tyneside health authority.
