Stephen Richards has been appointed regional director for Macmillan Cancer Relief in London, Anglia and the South East.He was previously head of service development for the same region.
Mr Richards started his career in cancer care at Trinity Hospice in south London, he then became a Macmillan nurse in Newham, east London.
Suzanne Goodband has been named the new chief executive of Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals trust.
Ms Goodband joins from accountants Deloitte and Touche, where she was head of the UK health industry group.Previously she ran her own healthcare consultancy business .
Public health physician Dr Jill Meara has been made a deputy director of the National Radiological Protection Board.She is responsible for communications, dose assessments and population exposure.
Before joining the NRPB in 2000, Dr Meara was director of public health in Northamptonshire.
North West London strategic health authority has appointed Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz as a nonexecutive director.
Sir Leszek is principal of the faculty of medicine at Imperial College London, which he joined in 2001 from the University of Wales.
Sir Leszek has written reports for the World Health Organisation, Medical Research Council and Department of Health.He was knighted in 2001 for his work on developing vaccines, including one to prevent cervical cancer.
Elizabeth Gale is the new acting chief executive of mental health charity Mentality.Ms Gale has worked in mental health for over a decade and has held positions in the voluntary and statutory sectors.She has a background in law and is particularly committed to supporting human rights and civil liberties - particularly for those with mental health problems.Ms Gale was a founding member of Mentality three years ago.
John Derben, chief executive of charity Club Hampshire, founded when the Red Cross stopped providing club services, has joined Winchester and Eastleigh trust as a non-executive director.
