Edward Colgan is to become chief executive of the new Taunton Deane primary care trust, which goes live on 1 April.He is currently director of service development and implementation at Dorset health authority.He joined the NHS as a graduate management trainee in 1979.

Alan Hopper, a former Royal Air Force pilot and vicechair of Somerset health authority, has been appointed chair of Taunton Deane primary care trust.He left the RAF in 1996 as a group captain.

Eamonn Kelly is to become chief executive of Redditch and Bromsgrove primary care trust from 1 April.He was a career civil servant with the NHS in the West Midlands, and is currently PCT project lead for Coventry health authority.

Reverend Malcolm Liles, team rector of Crawley team ministry, is to be chair of Crawley primary care trust.Lynne Regent, director of performance development at East Surrey health authority, will be chief executive.

Angela Ugur becomes chief executive of Horsham and Chanctonbury primary care trust from 1 April.She is currently chief executive of Horsham and Chanctonbury primary care group.Leonard Crosbie, a Horsham district council councillor since 1994, will chair the trust.

Dr Adrian Phillips has been appointed director of public health for Wolverhampton primary care trust. In 1999 he became one of the UK's first joint public health directors - appointed by Wolverhampton health authority and Wolverhampton borough council.

Lynette George has been re-appointed chair of Pembrokeshire and Derwen trust.

Professor Bill Gillespie will become the first dean of Hull York Medical School this month.He was dean of Dunedin School of Medicine at Otago University, New Zealand.
