David Pink has been appointed chief executive of the Long Term Medical Conditions Alliance.He is currently audit programme director at the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, which he has been involved with since its inception.

Alan Moran has been appointed director of performance and planning of the Pennine Acute Hospitals trust.

Mr Moran previously held senior positions in finance and management at both Bury health authority and Chorley and South Ribble trust.He later became director of finance at Oldham trust before becoming acting chief executive in June 2001.

Pennine Acute Hospitals trust has also appointed Bob Chadwick as director of finance and information.He was previously director of finance and information at North Manchester Healthcare trust, and has worked in public finance for 20 years.Dr Roger Glew joins the board as medical director.He started his career in Sheffield, then moved to Southampton before becoming a consultant anaesthetist at Hope Hospital in 1976.After a short period in private medicine, he worked in Oldham, before becoming medical director at Rochdale in 1997.The trust has also appointed Denise Houghton as its director of nursing.She was formerly director of nursing at Rochdale Healthcare trust, which merged with Bury Health Care trust, Oldham trust and North Manchester Health Care trust to form the new trust.

North West London strategic health authority has recruited Eileen Fairclough as executive director of development.She was previously assistant director of performance at London regional office.Tony Leonard has been appointed executive director of investment for the SHA, having previously been director of finance at Camden and Islington health authority.Dr Yi Mien Koh, who was previously director of public health at Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster HA, is the new executive director of public health and performance.The new executive director of strategy and planning is Steve Peacock, previously director of primary care at Redbridge and Waltham Forest HA. Jonathan Horbury, previously director of acute strategy at Ealing, Hammersmith and Hounslow HA, is the new director of corporate affairs.
