Linda Kellett has been appointed director of elderly, specialty and hospice services for Doncaster and South Humber Healthcare trust, including responsibility for stroke, rehabilitation, disability and some community services.

She was formerly head of elderly/specialty services.

Dr Howard Orridge has been appointed deputy medical director at Doncaster and South Humber Healthcare trust. He was formerly trust board primary care adviser.

Barbara Monroe has been appointed chief executive of St Christopher's Hospice in London. She has been acting chief executive since last March.

Peter Russell has been made head of information and technology at Salisbury Health Care trust. He has formerly worked in IT in local government and the Ministry of Defence.

Margaret Cox, currently chair of Bassetlaw Hospital and Community Services trust, has been appointed chair of the new Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals trust, which comes into effect on 1 April.

Psychiatrist Dr Hugh Middleton has been appointed director of research and development at Nottingham Healthcare trust ahead of a merger with other local mental health and learning disability services in April.

Dr Carole Longson, a pharmacologist, has taken up a new post as appraisal programme director at the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, responsible for delivering a programme of up to 50 health technology appraisals annually.

Mike Coupe, formerly director of corporate development with Redbridge Healthcare trust, has taken up post as director of planning and performance management at Royal Cornwall Hospitals trust.
