Sarah Healey has been appointed nurse executive for South Downs Health trust. Taking a lead role for nursing, she replaces Lisa Rodrigues, who is now project director for West Sussex Partnership trust.
Hugh Rogers, consultant urologist at West Middlesex Hospital in London, is to become national clinical lead for the national booked admissions programme.
Dr Robert Aitken, consultant gynaecologist at South Durham Hospital, and Dr Jenny Warner, consultant anaesthetist at City Hospital in Nottingham, have been appointed deputy national clinical leads for the NBAP.
John Beadsmoore has become chair of Papworth Hospital trust. He worked for pharmaceutical company Ciba for 37 years. From 1988-97 he also chaired the governing body at Cambridge Regional College.
Sally Davies has been appointed Cardiff and Vale trust's new continuing care co-ordinator. A nurse by training, she will oversee the transfer of patients out of hospital in need of additional help.
Gareth Roscoe and Pamela Brown have both been made non-executive directors at King's College Hospital trust. Mr Roscoe is a barrister who was a legal advisor to the BBC until 1997. Ms Brown runs a management consultancy in south east London.
Dr Sylvia Gyde has been appointed non-executive director at Essex Rivers Healthcare trust. She was director of public health for North Birmingham health authority from 1988-94.
Quintin Barry and Daphne Obang have both been re-appointed to the board of South Downs Health trust.
Mr Barry is a solicitor and has been chair of the trust since 1997, and Ms Obang is director of social services and housing at Bracknell Forest borough council.
Dolly Naeem and Professor Frank Gould have been appointed non-executive directors of Newham Healthcare trust. Ms Naeem is chief executive of Newham Training and Education Centre and Professor Gould is former vice-chancellor of East London University.
