Chris Potter has been appointed chief executive of Dudley health authority.Mr Potter was previously director of finance and deputy chief executive at Dudley.He was promoted following the retirement of Henry Foster as chief executive.
Simon Schanschieff and Julia Squire have become the first chair and chief executive, respectively, of Daventry and South Northants primary care trust.Mr Schanschieff was chair of Northamptonshire health authority.Ms Squire was chief executive of the primary care group and before that was director of corporate development for Northampton Community Healthcare trust.
Michelle Johnson has become Nottingham Healthcare trust's first equal opportunities adviser.
She previously worked for the city council.
Margaret Oldfield has become chair of Rotherham health authority.She was previously a nonexecutive director of the HA.
Two appointments have been made to the NHS in Cheshire. Lynne Liptrot, a management consultant and non-executive director ofWarrington Community trust, has become chair of North Cheshire health authority.Simon Cussons, a chartered accountant, has been reappointed as chair of South Cheshire HA.
Surrey Ambulance Service trust has appointed a new non-executive director, Colin Hazell, a specialist in asset management and leasing.
John Clark will serve as acting director of Birmingham University's health services management centre while Chris Ham is on secondment to the strategy unit set up to advise ministers on the future of the NHS and social care.Mr Clark is a former NHS chief executive and fellow of the HSMC.
Carol Varlaam has been appointed chair of Merton Sutton and Wandsworth health authority.
She is head of corporate human resources planning at the BBC.
Ms Varlaam succeeds Harry Cowd, who has been connected with the HA since 1982.
