John Matheson has been appointed finance director at Lothian health board, Edinburgh. He previously held the same post at Lothian primary care trust.
The new Hertsmere primary care trust has appointed Jacqueline Clark, currently director of primary care at City and Hackney Community Services trust, as chief executive. The PCT has also appointed Beth Kelly, a lecturer, examiner and local Labour councillor, as chair.
East and North Hertfordshire trust has five new board members. Stephen Brooker, a chartered accountant and John Rhodes an independent public transport consultant, become non-executive directors. Meanwhile, Dr Colm Prendergast has been appointed medical director, Nick Robinson becomes finance director and Simon Meddick takes up the post of planning and performance director.
Northern health and social services board has a new chair, Michael Wood, who has been chief executive of the Ulster Cancer Foundation since 1971.Western health and social services board also has a new chair, John Bradley, a chartered accountant who has been a non-executive member of the board for four years.

Retired senior police officer Terry McCabe is the new chair of West Pennine health authority. He joined the police force from school and rose to chief superintendent with Greater Manchester police.
Royce Batters, finance director at Christie Hospital trust, Manchester, is retiring aged 62 after six years in the post. He joined the trust after 18 years at chartered accountants Ernst & Young. He is succeeded by Eithne McCarthy, formerly deputy finance director at South Manchester University Hospitals trust.
