Hilary Pepler has been appointed chief executive of North Wales trust.

She was previously chief executive of North Mersey community trust.

South East regional office has appointed Lucy Hadfield as director of development, replacing Jill Rodney, chief executive of Oxfordshire community health trust, who held the post on secondment. Ms Hadfield was previously chief executive of South West London community trust.

Eastbourne Hospitals trust has appointed Alan Randall as its new chief executive. Mr Randall has been acting chief executive at the trust since November 1999.

South Essex health authority has a new chair - Mike Brookes - who was chair of Southend Hospital trust for the last four years.

Helen Taylor is to take up a joint role with Cambridgeshire county council's social services department as assistant director and Cambridgeshire health authority as an executive director to co-ordinate partnership working between the two organisations.

The new Barking, Havering and Redbridge trust has appointed a chief executive - Peter Murphy - currently chief executive of Havering Hospitals trust, which will be taken over by the new trust.

Douglas Smyth has been appointed chair of the board of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service trust.

Frank O'Sullivan takes up a new post as chief executive of Taunton and Somerset trust in September, moving from Northern Devon Healthcare trust.
