Tony Keighley, chief executive of Calderdale and Kirklees health authority, will retire in November after working for 32 years in the NHS.

Chairs and chief executives have been appointed to all four of Bradford's new primary care trusts:

Airedale PCT will be chaired by Elizabeth Wolstenholme, a recently retired civil servant who held various posts in the NHS Executive. Its chief executive will be Kevin Ellis, chief executive of the Airedale primary care group and before that general manager of the Worth Valley Health Consortium.

Bradford City PCT will be chaired by Mohammed Ajeeb, a self-employed race relations consultant and former Labour mayor of Bradford. Its chief executive will be Lynnette Throp, chief executive of the PCG and before that an NHS manager for acute and community services.

North Bradford PCT will be chaired by Norman Roper, a retired teacher and local government officer, former Conservative councillor and former chair of Bradford community health council. Its chief executive will be Dr Ian Rutter, a GP and adviser to the Department of Health. Bradford South and West PCT will be chaired by Sarah Warner, a community development worker. Its chief executive will be Dr Barbara Hakin, chair and acting chief executive of Bradford South and West PCG and a family doctor.

North Tees and Hartlepool trust has a new head of communications - Michelle Atkinson, who has previously worked for a number of PR agencies, British Aerospace and County Durnham health authority.

Judith Young will be the new chief executive of Calderdale and Kirklees health authority. She started her career as a clinical psychologist before moving into management positions. She is currently director of commissioning and development at the HA.
