Former psychiatric nurse Philip Burgess has joined East Berkshire Community Health trust as chief executive. He had been acting chief executive of South Bedfordshire Community Health Care trust, where he was previously director of operations and nurse adviser.
Hilary Scott, chief executive of Tower Hamlets Healthcare trust, has been appointed deputy health service commissioner for England, Scotland and Wales. Her appointment takes effect in May.

Lynn Thornton has been appointed to job-share the post of director of operations at the Royal Hospitals trust. She will take on her new role full-time from the end of April when the present director of operations, Jackie Cardiff, goes on maternity leave, but will share the post when Ms Cardiff returns.
