Ian Hammond has been appointed chief executive of Bedfordshire and Luton Community trust. He was previously chief executive of Bedford and Shires Health and Care trust, which merged with South Bedfordshire Community Health Care trust to form the new organisation.
The chair of the new Gwent Healthcare trust is Denis Jessopp, a retired businessman and former chair of Glan Hafren trust.
East London and the City health authority has announced that Professor Elaine Murphy will succeed Professor Frances Heidensohn as chair.
Sir Stanley Odell has become chair of Bedfordshire and Luton Community trust. He is a retired farmer and businessman and was previously chair of South Bedfordshire Community Health Care trust.
Bedfordshire and Luton Community trust also has four new non-executive directors - Alison Davis, former chair of Bedford and Shires Health and Care trust, John Bassill and Louise Cusack, former non-executive directors of Bedford and Shires Health and Care trust, and Gurch Randhawa, a lecturer at Luton University.
Sir Leslie Turnberg has become chair of the Health Quality Service, succeeding Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, who stepped down after becoming a government whip. He is a former president of the Royal College of Physicians.
