Cathryn Leadstone, a pupil at Ormesby comprehensive school in Middlesbrough, with a pile of interactive dolls bought with funds from Teesside health action zone.

The dolls can be programmed to demand care and attention in the same way as real babies and also monitor how well children meet their needs.

They are designed to give children from Middlesbrough a taste of teenage parenthood in a bid to reduce pregnancy rates.
