I was thrilled to see my name in Monitor after so many years (page 104, 14 September).
So clever of Monitor to point out that fiction is about making things up - and so unlike the noble art of journalism.
Yes, I was pleased, back in the 1970s, when Monitor was still in nappies, to win the Somerset Maugham Award for one of my novels - both long remaindered, sadly - and to get a review to die for from Auberon Waugh.
I do apologise for the typo (should that be typoo? ) placed in the draft copy for my website by the designer.
But I must say I can't claim to represent 'practically every trust and health authority in London'.
The vast majority of them have very competent press officers of their own - all of whom are listed on my website and available to journalists at the touch of a button when they access www.jonathanstreet.com.
