Partnership launches service guide
A guide to integrated mental health services for older adults has been launched by the Care Services Improvement Partnership.
It emphasises that older people's mental health cuts across health and social care, physical and mental health and mainstream and specialist services and is 'everybody's business'.
A website hosting the document includes a financial and service mapping framework, details of a programme of seminars on the guide and factsheets for commissioners, providers, health and social care professionals and service users and carers.
Green light for Broadmoor

The 150-year-old facilities at the special hospital have been described as totally unfit for purpose.
'Our staff and working practices have modernised; this is our opportunity to modernise the environment, ' said trust chief executive Simon Crawford.
The work is estimated to cost£190m.
Charities publish helpline research
Mental health charity Rethink and the National Institute of Mental Health in England have jointly published research into the effect of mental health crisis helplines.
The study found helplines have a crucial impact on maintaining the mental health of service users, particularly in dealing with the risks of self-harm and suicide.
The study recommends greater promotion of helplines, provision of services configured to black and minority ethnic communities, and raising awareness of helplines as a 24-hour - rather than just after-hours - service.
