Oxleas trust has received one of the best Commission for Health Improvement reviews of any mental health trust in the country.

The trust received three scores of III and four IIs on the technical components covering seven areas of clinical governance.The top score possible is IV.So far the commission has assessed 25 mental health trusts, uncovering a wide variation in performance.The review team said the trust had made good progress integrating health and social care and also praised its work at Horizon House - a day centre providing social support for mental health sufferers while helping them to find work.Chief executive Stephen Firn told HSJ: 'We are delighted. It is been a lot of hard work over the last few months, but it is a tribute to the dedication of all the staff here.'
