The second oldest HIV charity in the UK has announced it is to merge with another group to form the biggest HIV support charity outside London.George House Trust and Body Positive North West will support around 1,500 people with HIV in north west England when the merging process is completed this summer.
The two organisations said they would be able to offer a better service to the growing number of people with HIV as a single charity.George House Trust chief executive Michelle Reid said: 'With a single HIV voluntary organisation working across the region, we have the potential to meet the growing needs of HIV-positive people.'
