The total number of people waiting for more than one year for NHS hospital services in England rose by 0.7 per cent in June, with an additional 150 patients going on to lists.This reflects a general increase in waiting lists between June 2001 and June 2002, during which time the total number waiting rose by 16,900 (1.6 per cent).However, the number of people waiting for admission to NHS hospitals fell in June of this year by 770, or 0.1 per cent.
