Welsh people have been urged to improve their health by swapping sport spectating for participation.

First minister Rhodri Morgan, pictured centre, told the Welsh Assembly's sports summit that Welsh people were among the least active in Europe.Assembly figures show that just 28 per cent of Welsh people take enough exercise to receive any health benefit.Mr Morgan said the Assembly's sports strategy, Climbing Higher, had set out goals to encourage more youngsters to take up exercise.
