Sussex Ambulance Service has named Chris Searle as director of human resources and organisational development. In this newly created role, Mr Searle will be responsible for providing HR support to more than 1,000 staff.He joins from Sussex Police.
Nikki Luffingham has been appointed operations director by Mayday Healthcare trust.
She had been acting director of operations for six months. She said: 'The year ahead is a challenging but exciting time for the operational team, with changing targets.'
Bernadette Hennigan has become nursing director at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health trust.
Ms Hennigan was previously acting nurse at South West London and St Georges Mental Health trust for two years.
nStephen Humphreys has been appointed the first communications director for the independent regulator of NHS foundation trusts.He will be responsible for all communications, including those with parliament and the media.
n Professor Peter Kopelman has joined North East London strategic health authority as a non-executive director, completing the non-executive team.His major research interest is in obesity.
n Four Seasons Health Care's new Huntercombe Roehampton Hospital, a 39-bed locked facility for detained patients, has appointed Dr Shakeel Ahmad as medical director. Also joining are consultant psychiatrists Dr Pall Matthiasson and Dr Philip Hopley.
n Dennis Yeates, deputy director of finance of Worcestershire Mental Health Partnership trust, is the new vice-president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Gwent Healthcare trust chief executive Martin Turner also joins, on the ruling council.
