Peter Murphy has been appointed to succeed Mike Pollard as chief executive at Essex Rivers Healthcare trust.Mr Murphy, who is working as a management consultant to the NHS, will take up his post in mid-July.
Elaine Inglesby is the new executive nurse director for Salford Royal Hospitals trust. She moves to Salford from Stockport trust, where she was executive nurse for three years. She succeeds Dorothy Knupfer, who has retired.
Dr Marion Wood has taken up her new post as medical director at Essex Rivers Healthcare trust. She has been the trust's deputy medical director for three years, and succeeds consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon Paul Kitchen, who has retired after six years in the role.
nBasil Jeuda and Alan Stuttard have been appointed chair and chief executive of the NHS Pensions Agency special health authority. They will be responsible for what has been described as the largest occupational pension scheme in western Europe.
nDr Gwynneth Flower has been asked to serve a further year as chair of NHS UK Transplant.
She has been reappointed to lead the board of the special health authority by the NHS Appointments Commission.
nFrances Watson has been taken on as clinical specialty adviser for learning disabilities for the National Patient Safety Agency.
The advisers are appointed by the agency and royal colleges to promote patient safety in their relevant area.
nJennifer Aldridge is the new chair of Wyre primary care trust's professional executive committee.
