The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists is the latest trade union to express its concerns over the government's pay offer.

The deal would give NHS workers a pay rise of 2.45 per cent in the first year, followed by 2.4 per cent the next year and 2.25 per cent the year after.

CSP director of employment relations and union services Lesley Mercer said: "The CSP values the independent pay review body process and is greatly concerned by the government threat to compromise this process for a second year if the three-year deal is not accepted."
