University Hospitals of Leicester trust has received bids from Equion and Catalyst to become the hospitals'private sector partner in the trust's£403m programme to rebuild and modernise through a private finance initiative project.Chief executive Peter Reading said the plans would cut duplication of services across its three sites and aims to help meet government targets, including waiting times.Mr Reading said: 'Completely rebuilding and refurbishing our current facilities will give us the infrastructure we need.'The trust expects to sign a contract with the preferred consortia in late 2004 or 2005.
