Managers are worried the new health ratings system is too complex and say it could prove to be a 'bureaucratic burden' on trusts. The NHS Confederation consulted members from more than 300 NHS organisations and found concern among managers about the status of 'prompts' in the new ratings regime, due to come into force on 1 April. Managers believe the prompts could become a set of proxy targets, says the confederation in its response to a Healthcare Commission consultation.
