HSJ has previously reported good progress on tackling prostate cancer.

Although there is much the NHS can be proud of, there is even more still to do.

The National Audit Office found that too many men with prostate cancer still report a bum deal, and these findings have been supported by a new survey from the Prostate Cancer Charity.

Now is the time to step up the pace of change.

That is why the launch of the new Prostate Cancer Charter for Action is vital. The charter, which represents the view of 22 key organisations involved in tackling prostate cancer, sets out a series of measures that could address this bad experience.
