Ramsay Health Care has appointed Mark Page as chief executive of its UK operations.
Mr Page has eight years management experience in the Australian private health sector.
Outgoing chief executive Jill Watts has been appointed as chief executive of General Healthcare Group, the private British healthcare group that owns BMI Healthcare.
Ms Watts’ departure was announced at the end of September.
Ramsay has 22 hospitals around the UK, and provides a variety of treatments to NHS patients.
The company reported UK revenues of £382.7m in 2013-14.
Earlier this year, it said its NHS admissions grew in the first half of the year, although it did not disclose the size of the increase.
Ramsay chief executive Chris Rex said: “Mark has excellent experience in hospital management and building strong relationships with doctors and other key stakeholders. He will be a great leader for our team in the UK.”
Mr Page is due to start in the position in early December.
