Royal College of Nursing general secretary Beverley Malone has called for the union to be 'at the table when decisions are made'on the role of the private sector in public services.But while other union leaders have been in Downing Street talks on public-private partnerships, Dr Malone has admitted that the RCN does not have a clear position on the issue.She reiterated the union's opposition to clinical staff being transferred out of the NHS.But she added: 'That does not foreclose dialogue.'She called for clarity from the government on 'what the endgame is'.
