Lord Sutherland today confirmed that the independent funding review of free personal and nursing care in Scotland, which he is leading, is on track to report at the end of March.
Scottish ministers invited Lord Sutherland to chair the independent review last year.
In addition to drawing on information from recent research work and other reports and inquiries into the policy, the review group has taken evidence from local authorities, social work professionals, the Social Work Inspection Agency, the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman, Scottish Parliament committees and organisations representing older people.
The group will also consider the outcome of the Auditor General's review of free personal and nursing care published yesterday.
