The Continuing Care Conference has urged the government to act to end the 'uncertainty' faced by many older people over their long-term care in its response to the report of the Royal Commission on Long-term Care of the Elderly. CCC, a coalition of commercial, charitable and public service organisations, says long-term care needs more investment, although funding should be considered within the wider context of pensions and welfare reform. It also says personal care should be free at the point of delivery.
