Clinical networks and patient pathways are the key to the government's new Hepatitis C Action Plan for England, published this week. It instructs acute and primary care trust chief executives to ensure that specialist services are effectively commissioned within their area and to develop clinical networks so that particular groups of patients, such as haemophilia sufferers, children, and the socially excluded, can be properly treated.
