Oxleas trust has signed a£14m PFI deal to reprovide mental health services in the London borough of Bexley. The deal involves replacing services now provided at Bexley Hospital with a new mental health unit at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup. This will provide 71 beds in two adult acute wards and two elderly acute wards. There will also be two new community mental health centres, a day centre and several new rehabilitation homes. Queen Mary's will also manage general medical facilities under the deal.
