The Innovator’s Prescription by leading US academic Clayton Christensen has been awarded the inaugural Circle Prize for Inspiring Innovation.

The prize was launched by HSJ and independent healthcare provider Circle to identify the author, researcher or commentator who has developed the idea with the greatest potential to transform the UK healthcare system.

The prize’s judging panel includes Health select committee chair Stephen Dorrell; Dame Carol Black, the government’s director of health and work; Mark Britnell, the global head of health at KPMG; Bill Moyes, who sits on the board of the OFT and Mike Farrar, the chief executive of NHS Confedertaion and Circle chief executive Ali Parsa.
