The number of English patients waiting six months or more for elective surgery fell by 5.9 per cent in July. The total number waiting more than six months fell by 42.9 per cent compared to July last year. In Scotland, wait times for inpatient and outpatient treatment have reached an all-time low. At 30 June, no patient waited more than nine months for inpatient or day-case care. The number waiting more than six months fell by 82 per cent to 1,121 over the last year.
