2.36pm: Board HR director Jo-Anne Wass has said it is reasonably confident it will meet its targets for numbers recruited to the board for December.

11.36am: The NHS Confederation’s NHS Partners Network has responded to Monitor’s interim report on its review of the “fair playing field”. Director David Worskett said: “We welcome the publication of Monitor’s discussion paper as it highlights and confirms our view that in many areas a fair playing field does not exist and it is difficult, if not impossible, for new providers to enter the market.”

11.12am: A study commissioned by the Mental Health Network has found people with learning disabilities or autism have higher mental health needs than the wider population and frequently find it more difficult to access the services they want or need.

In a response to the study the network has launched a new briefing calling on providers and commissioners of mental health services to better accommodate the mental health needs of people with autism or learning disabilities. Find out more here.
