Warwickshire North and Coventry and Rugby clinical commissioning groups have announced the make-up of their shared executive team, following directions from NHS England last year.

In July, Coventry and Rugby CCG was one of the nine groups placed in financial special measures. It was also rated inadequate by NHS England in its new annual ratings system.

As part of the special measures, the CCG was instructed to create a joint leadership structure with another group.

Andrea Green, chief officer for Warwickshire North CCG, has been appointed as chief officer for Coventry and Rugby CCG.

Coventry and Rugby CCG’s board papers for a meeting on 11 January reveal the other appointments to the shared executive team, which is due to become operational from 1 April. These are:

  • Clare Hollingworth, chief finance officer at Coventry and Rugby CCG – chief finance officer and deputy chief officer;
  • Debby Pook, chief operating officer, Warwickshire North CCG – chief operating officer;
  • Jaqueline Barnes, chief nursing officer, Coventry and Rugby CCG – chief nursing officer; and
  • Jenni Northcote, director of partnerships and engagement, Warwickshire North CCG – chief strategy and primary care officer.

The CCGs will consult next month on the development of a single staffing structure for both groups.
