PERFORMANCE: Yorkshire Ambulance Service Trust spent the end of the financial year trying to meet its Category A response time target after a winter dip.

A November position of 76.1 per cent against the 75 per cent target had declined to 73.5 per cent by the end of February.

An action plan was put in place and saw improved performance in the final two weeks of February. The trust made us of support from NHS Interim Management and Support to review its access and response and A&E operations.

The trust beleives reorganising staff rotas is “a key deliverable… and work continues locally to agree revised shift patterns. The implementation plan will see new rotas implemented in a phased approach during the first quarter”.
