PERFORMANCE: Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care NHS Trust remain outliers on hospital-level mortality indicators, according to an SHA cluster report.
NHS North of England’s board paper on quality says: “Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust continues to show a raised mortality by summary of hospital level mortality indicator and hospital standardised mortality.
“This trust is implementing an action plan to improve matters and this is beginning to have an effect upon numbers.
The board papers add: “Scarborough and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust is also an outlier on both measures. This trust is merging with York NHS FT, and both trusts are reviewing quality and developing an action plan.
“North Linconshire and Goole Hospitals NHS FT continues to raise concerns with mortality rates, and the SHA is in dialogue with commissioners who are reviewing HSMR.”
