FINANCE: Minutes from a commissioner meeting said the west London trust had presented them with data “in which [it had] no confidence”.

Minutes of the July meeting of the North West London cluster of primary care trusts said: “Agreement had yet to be reached on the Operational Plan for Imperial College Healthcare Trust and there were continued issues with the presentation of data in which there was no confidence.

“[NWL director] Simon Weldon updated members on the issues highlighted at the previous meeting and his analysis that systems were not working effectively to trigger action. The board expressed alarm at the continuing issues with Imperial and proposed a meeting between chairs.

“[NWL chief executive] Anne Rainsberry reported that she was meeting the chief executive the following week with a view to commissioning a joint review. If satisfactory progress was not being made, the chairman would consider whether a meeting at NED level should be held.”
