FINANCE: A report from King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust reveals the trust received £6.5m from PCTs to cover “winter pressures” in 2012-13.
The trust recorded a surplus of £3.2m.
The board papers also said: “The cost improvement programme achievement was £32.1m and £22.6m related to income generation schemes. The income generation schemes included PCT demand management activity reductions (activity reductions without robust plans), income coding improvements and income productivity gains. The activity increases will be recurring and built into the 13-14 contract baselines.”
