PERFORMANCE: A report about King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust submitted to the board of NHS South East London said “in general there are fewer concerns on the quality of care than with other providers”.

It added:“When issues have arisen the trust has responded swiftly and decisively to address them”, adding “positive trends have been seen in the number of same-sex accommodation breaches, pressure ulcers and falls cases”.

But the report to the primary care trust cluster said King’s “received rather mixed scores in the outpatient survey, with many scores being slightly below average and one of nine categories being in [the] bottom 20 per cent”.

It added: “The trust is on trajectory for MRSA, but over target for C difficile, 78 cases against a target of 54. The C difficile action plan has been reviewed.”
