STRUCTURE: Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is continuing work on an integrated business plan, with the aim of gaining foundation status, but it has been held up by a lack of staff at its overseeing strategic health authority.
The trust’s July board paper update on its FT progress says: “During June, detailed feedback was received from the SHA on the documents that were submitted at the end of April [including its integrated business plan]…
“The feedback on the finance and risk section of the IBP was less detailed than had been expected due to personnel changes within the SHA.
“However, following discussions a more detailed review will take place once appropriate resources within the SHA have been identified,” the paper adds.
“A detailed response to the feedback already received is being prepared by the executive directors and will be submitted to the SHA shortly.”
