FINANCE: NHS Lincolnshire is forecasting to meet all of its financial duties by the year-end, including a planned £11,277 surplus.

However, financial pressures elsewhere in the health community could potentially result in NHS Lincolnshire being asked to deliver a larger surplus.

Following a partial refund of the £6.1m non-elective levy deducted earlier in the year, with £5m being returned, the NHS Lincolnshire resource limit has increased. This sum is being held within the general reserve.

Discussions were taking place on how best to use this resource to maximise the benefit to patients across the whole of the Lincolnshire health community.
