STRUCTURE: Liverpool Community Health Trust is working to develop a “Section 75” agreement for the trust to provide social care services for its local authority, board papers state.
The trust’s April chair and chief executive’s report states: “Liverpool Community Health is working closely with Liverpool City Council to develop a Section 75 agreement for joint provision of Services to older people.
“The Section 75 provides the legal framework for Liverpool Community Health to deliver social care services under contractual agreement with the council.
“This framework needs to be agreed both by the LCH Board and by the City Council through the Health and Well Being Board which has constituent members from both Local Authority Commissioners and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
“Once the framework is in place, both organisations will agree which services will be jointly provided and the formal contractual details.”
