STRUCTURE: The outline business case for a merger with Ealing Hospital and the provider arms of Brent, Harrow and Ealing Primary Care Trusts has been put back.
The OBC will now be delivered by July 29.
A report from acting interim chief executive David Astley said: “The key reasons for the deferral were to allow: further clinical dialogue relating to the clinical vision and service reconfiguration options; more work on the costing of the long list of options for inclusion in the OBC; the complexity and the inter-dependency of service reconfiguration and the potential merger; and ensuring this is appropriately described in the OBC and agreed with NHS London, the [North West London] Cluster and PCTs.”
It said the merger programme operating board would meet with the McKinsey team assisting fornightly until then.
